It was through these experiences that her passion for personalized event planning was born. Now she is pursuing this passion full time while bringing her own unique sense of style and her knowledge of the latest industry trends to make her Event Design clients’ dreams a reality.
“My career with wedding coordinating began almost out of necessity one lovely Saturday afternoon. My wonderful husband has a fabulous talent of photography – he is not a professional but he will do photos for friends. So, when he was asked by our dear friend Olivia to photograph her wedding, my husband asked if I would help out??? Of course, I love weddings!!!
When everything was just about to get started, I asked where the coordinator was to get the ceremony in order. I was told that there wasn’t a coordinator??? I was not sure why but we had hit chaos and something needed to be done, so I just began putting everyone in order and sending them down the aisle. As the day went on, I continued to put out fires that stemmed from an absent coordinator, such as getting the ring bearer to the nearest restroom right before he was supposed to walk down the aisle, giving the bride and groom a ride to their reception, finding a guest that knew how to tie a complicated bustle, coming up with a timeline of events for the caterer and entertainment, replacing candles that had burned out and packing up and transporting the décor and gifts at the end of the night. Once I saw the joy on the bride and groom’s face while they were thanking me for an event that ended up coming together beautifully, I immediately knew that I had found my true calling. When I met Amber and DJ from Event Design, I quickly realized that they have the same level of dedication and deliver the personalized service that I desire to give my clients. I couldn’t be more excited to join the Event Design team!”
